Well a long weekend is on the way and i have to say when it comes to family Holiday's I get very excited. Do i do the cooking? NO! We go to my sister in laws. When you have 14 bro's and sis's 1 Turkey is not enough. And i don't mean the in-laws. On this weekend. Be thankful. I think allot of times we get all mixed up in the things that really are not important. We need to step outside the box. This weekend remember all the good things that we can say thanks to. Health family and love. Remember if you cant be good be safe. Ill take you back 20 years now. This is why i am so grateful. 20 years ago this Holiday i was in a major car accident where the jaws of life were needed. I was hit on the 207 206 junction just outside of Lorette Mb. I was going horse riding for the day. @ 11:00 just when Grandma was coming out of church i was hit by a truck at 117 km. How do we know this the Gage was stuck. Needless to say i was spun on the highway about 12 times. I was rushed to St Anne's and was on standby to be transferred to Winnipeg. I was unable to attend any family function for the holliday weekend obviously. My car was totalled and they expected that i would have to have emergency surgery. My Mom and Dad and family had seen the car on the highway and were scared that when they reached the hospital that they may be too late. Well here I am 20 years later and loving my life and career. I hope you will take a step away from all the prep and the food and remember how special you are and how much we need to say thanks for the small things in our lives. Happy Holidays Eat drink and be marry and remember all the good in your life. Happy Thanksgiving!

The 2009 Western Canadian Music Awards took place in Brandon, Manitoba September 17-20. The WCMA is well-known as western Canada's largest music festival and awards ceremony. The WCMA is made up of five Industry Associations: Alberta Music, Manitoba Music, Music BC, Music Yukon and SaskMusic. Brandon's Centennial Auditorium hosted the WCMA Awards Gala on Sunday evening, September 20 - the pinnacle of the four day festival. The WCMA Awards Brunch, which honoured the industry award winners, was held Saturday, September 19 at the Brandon Canad Inns. One of Canada's premier recording artists, Loreena McKennitt, was the keynote interview at the brunch. The WCMA weekend kicked off Thursday, September 17 with the annual Brandon University "Rock the Block" street party. On Friday and Saturday, 50-plus bands performed at seven of Brandon's top venues. Its finally here Fathers day and The First Day of Summer and that Means National Aboriginal Day! Im a very proud Metis girl and definatly a Daddy's girl. Got a fishing trip planned with my Dad Ed. We have a very special relationship. You see I was adopted. My Daddy calls me the chosen one. My sister and Brother are his biological kids. But im the chosen one. Im also the oldest who has given my Daddy a run for his money on several occasions. He always it would take a real good man to keep this young filly. So unfortunatly im unable to spend the Fathers day with Dad but he is going to come to my Concert tonight in the City of Winnipeg at the Red River X. He dosnt like the lime lite and will not come on stage but hell be there. Dad thank you for all your love guidance and understanding. Thanks for supporting me even when i have made wrong descions. Thank you for supporting me in my music Career. And just thanks for loving me . YOu are my world and I love you Dad. Happy Fathers's day!! I just want to take the time to wish all the Daddy's a great fathers day. And for all the people who have lost their father I send you love. Well the weekend isapon us and what are ya doing? The last couple of weekends have been abosolutly crazy!!! Camping on the long weekend then i ditched out to Toronto. Thank god I stayed outside the city. The 401 makes me want to cry and im not even driving. Toronto was very successfull and thats all im going to say about that. Life's like a box of chocolates you never know what you are going to get. Soooooo this weekend looking at finally getting some plants displayed. I have to say my house does not look all that great. Not like some of the other homes here in Brandon. Some people really do put alot of work into their yards. I have to say i totally appreciate them. Just makes others proud to be a part of a great community Brandon Mb Baby!
So yes I think this weekend will be a weekend of yes lawn work. To tell you the truth i usually ruien it for most women. I would rather my husband bring me home Mr Clean Freebreeze then a dozen red roses.I know CRAZY,
Dont foregett Jay Leno tonight its his last show and Conan Obrien will be taking his spot at the big desk.
That starts at 11:30 tonight.

Off to Toronto Very Excited Ill tell ya why!!! Well here is the news. I am not only an announcer and foster mom Im also a Canadian Recording artist. Have been in the buis for about 10 years and have had 3 albums to date. Lily a compilation album of all my fav artists I did it for the Family as they wanted a little somthing as i sang at every family function. Then we went into the studio and created " Im Going Home " Recognized throughout Canada and the United STates. Brought home country album of the year for that one. Have recieved the Galaxy Rising star following in the footsteps of some very famous Canadians. Shania Twain Doc Walker and Terry Clark just to name a few. We then recorded anouther album called Healiing Jane. It was a great album dealing with Res schools and the power of the mind to heal. Very deep album. So now it has taken 4 years to get anouther album out. I have to say the music world can be a wicked place. I had to learn the hard way. So 4 years later i have been working with Doc Walker boys and Ray St Germain. Yes the legendary. Anyways they are all like family to me and have helped me create a wicked album. Other writers on the album is my good friend and mentor Billy Simard and producer Chris Burke Gaffney. Now im heading to Toronto for a photo shoot and to meet with the Team from the very large Lable of EMI Records and will be discussing a contract. Yes that means being signed. Its what every artist waits for. What does it all mean Nothing until the ink is dry. Will i Leave Broadcastin.Not a chance my Momma didnt raise no fool. I love the buis and the people way tooo much. So what does that mean. Dont know yet except that i have a very busy 2 days in Toronto. Have a great weekend. Kd
