Kimberley Dawn has been recognized throughout Canada and internationally as a Country/ Aboriginal recording artist. She has been nominated 17 times across Canada for her album "Kimberley Dawn - I'm Going Home". She has won the Galaxy Rising Star Award and Song Single of the year at the 2006 Canadian Aboriginal Awards for her hit single "Spirit Of Our People". Some of her career highlight performances have been with Randy Bachman, performing at the Juno awards here in Winnipeg, the Legendary Ray St. Germain where she performed "Jackson", a great Country classic and fan favourite.Kimberley Dawn is putting the finishing touches on her 4th album, titled "Built That Way". "I'm so excited about this album!" says Kimberley Dawn. "I asked several of my friends to help collaborate on an album to help express who I am and the sound in which I feel most comfortable with." Some of the names she has to accredit the sound of the new album to are no strangers to the country music scene. The star line up includes Ray St. Germain, Doc Walker, rocker Chris Burke Gaffney, and Billy Simard. With all of these diverse contributors, this album is surely going to be a hit. "Built That Way" is hoping to be released in the fall.
Kimberley Dawn is also the voice of the Turtle on the children's show "Tipi Tales" seen on YTV and APTN.
What does Kimberley Dawn say is the best job in the world? She and her husband operate a home for mentally challenged adults. "The men are like our extended family," she says.

People living in Shamattawa, Manitoba are seeing a positive difference in their community thanks to local RCMP officers going beyond their duty to improve the way of life up north.
Members of the local RCMP detachment have created a skating rink (above) and clear it off after a snowfall. Members are in the process of collecting donated skates, helmets, pucks and hockey sticks from RCMP employees and other partners to distribute in the community.
The creation of a recreational space on ice for youth hasn't stopped there. Detachment members also hold weekly barbeques for the children.
"The interaction between police and youth through these activities is inspiring and demonstrates that collectively the efforts of a few compassionate citizens can make a profound difference within a community," said Inspector Tyler Bates, Officer in Charge of the RCMP Community and Aboriginal Policing Services.
