About the show
Hello,
I'm thrilled to be spending time with you on 101.1 FM The Farm!
I spent the first 20 years of my life growing up just outside the lovely town of Wawanesa, MB. (The valley will ALWAYS be home.)
After a few different post secondary institutions I moved to the ‘city' -Brandon, and attended Assiniboine Community Colleges, Media Production program. It only seemed fit as most of my youth was spent sending daily requests to local radio stations.
I am a farm girl at heart, but keep me away from the cows -they don't like me much! (Who knew cows could be so protective of their calves?) I love playing sports, being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. Oh the mischief we can get into!
As Ang may have told you, I have a small crush on Mr. Brad Paisley and I also wanna rock and roll all night and party everyday!
I couldn't be more excited to not only work with all these fantastic people, but in a town that I spent so much time making burger runs too.
Cheers,
Amanda

I love spring. Don't get me wrong. We've suffered through -45 and snow up to our knees and the puddles make me feel like hope is near! But I can't help but fret over what to wear on my feet.
Try to muffle your laughter, but it's true! Tim Black constantly laughs at myself and office mates that talk about our shoes. But it's frustrating to know what to wear these days. I am currently trudging around in my "winter boots." Sweating a little more than I'd like to in my winter coat, but I tried heels yesterday. No dice. Not only has the ice made it impossible to dig my heels in, my normal defense mechanism for landing on my hind end, I slip and slide like a kid at a water park. It's still too cold for sneakers. The soles seem to freeze after a couple min. and make me toes ache.
Oh I have my problems don't I! LOL
Guess the snow boots win until I can get away with rubber boots!
