Norway's economically named I is a supergroup composed of several veterans from the local extreme metal scene: vocalist/guitarist Olve Eikemo (aka Abbath, of Immortal fame), lead guitarist Ice Dale (aka Arve Isdal, of Enslaved), bassist Tom Cato Visnes (aka T.C. King of Gorgoroth), and original Immortal members Armagedda (drums) and Demonaz (lyrics). Together, this impressive lineup recorded 2006's Between Two Worlds album, the title reflecting its contents' unusual combination of black metal and straight-up rock & roll. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia, All Music Guide
