Hungarian refugee B.b. Gabor (aka Gabor Hegedus) moved to Toronto and became quite popular in the early '70s. The singer/songwriter formed a backup band in 1980, the Instabands, and signed with Anthem. The 1980 self-titled debut was followed by Girls of the Future the next year. Gabor formed a new group in 1987, but committed suicide roughly a decade later. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
