Western Manitoba is FARM country.  Nestled between the Riding and Turtle Mountains, the soil and climate are ideal for growing a wide variety of crops. And 101.1 FM The FARM is its radio station.

The FARM signed on in January 2005 and immediately became THE radio station in Western Manitoba.  The emphasis on family, fun, and country music was an immediate success.  If you live on a farm, grew up on one, or dreamed of having a little patch of land somewhere sometime - the FARM speaks to you.

In farm country, one of the key values is ‘help your neighbor'.  101.1 FM the FARM recognizes this, and has pitched in to help charities, community groups, and worthy causes. The FARM is a major supporter of  the annual United Way fundraising campaign in Westman, as well as the Children's Miracle Network's ‘Radiothon'.  101.1 FM The FARM launched the first Radiothon in Westman in the Spring of 2005, just a few short months after signing on.  The commitment to the community lives in the very name of the station - The FARM.  You can't do it alone - and you won't let anyone else go it alone.

"Continuous Country - 101.1 FM the FARM", says it all, really.  The FARM plays the most music, and the most uninterrupted music of any radio station in the Westman area. Even during the busy workday, the FARM makes sure that the very best country music - old and new - is what the listener gets.
