Although they say applying math to matters of the heart is dangerous here's the formula to calculate the best time to propose.


  1. Oldest age you want to get married.  Lets call this (a)
  2. Earliest age you would settle down.  We'll call this (b)
  3. Take (a) minus (b) and multiply by 0.368
  4. Take (b) and minus the total you got in 3 from it.
  5. And TA-DA!  That's your optimal proposal age

Now I tried this with myself personally and I got an age that I haven't been for a good 5 years. 
So either it doesn't work
Or I missed the boat!
