Pretty Deep was the first single from Tanya Donelly's debut solo LP, Lovesongs for Underdogs. The title track is alt/pop in the familiar Donelly tradition, which is nice enough, but the strength of the single lies in its two B-sides -- "These Days" and "Influenza." The former is a (relatively) thunderous exploration of the singer/songwriter's preoccupation with 1950s pop structures, and the latter is a lovely, if bittersweet, slice of jangle pop. ~ Bryan Carroll, Al Read More
