Fiddler and composer Yair Dalal is a contemporary Israeli musician and promotes a progressive politics by fusing Arabian and Jewish sounds together in his music. Oud (Middle Eastern lute), sitar, guitar, violin and clarinet provide the melody and harmonies on these mostly instrumental compositions. A vibrant rhythm is formed from African, Indian and Middle Eastern percussion. Jewish and Arabian cultures have historically mixed amicably in parts of Spain, and from this musically rich golden age of Spain is drawn "Adon Haslihot."
