Here is the Poem that was heard during the Radiothon.  If you would like it emailed let me know and I will send it your way.  tblack@1011thefarm.com

This poem was written by a mom after her 9-year-old son was diagnosed with leukemia ...

"To My Child (Just For Today)"

Just for this morning I am going to smile when I see your face, and laugh when I feel like crying.

Just for this morning I will let you wake up softly in your flannel p.j.'s and hold you until you are ready to stir.

A BIG thank you goes out to all of Westman.  You helped raise a total of $60,250 during our Radiothon for the Childrens Hospital.

 Thank you for all your help.

Tim

The Gratitude Sign

Ever wonder how to say thank you when you see a military person in uniform?

See a simple way to do it from across a room or as you are passing by.

Please pass it on to family & friends!

I was looking out the kitchen window the other day and thought to myself, self, hey it is tryly spring when you see 10 birds sitting on the bird feeder that only has enough room for 5 of them, it also means that I have to put out the other feeders.  the other sign of spring is seeing the amount of dod poop that is on my lawn, sure it was cold and sure the poop would have frozen before it hit the ground, but now it's time to clean it up.  remember that the kids are about to start playing outside and for some of us taht can't see the stuff it's time to start using the yellow boxes or little baggies.  Enjoy the spring in Westman.

Hello;

I know it's almost the end of January and I have not put anything up on my blog since December.  Well with Christmas and then getting into the new year , and the fact that I have felt lazy for the past few weeks, it's time to get back at it.

So what to chat about today.  I'm sitting here on a bright sunny day watching my son Evan play with his cars and create a wonderful pretend world.  Do you ever want to be three again, and spend the day playing with toys?  I have to say that it would be fun to do it just for a day. Sometimes I think kids have the right idea.  We as adults get caught up in our day to day lives and don't take the time to stop and just play and just enjoy life.  With that being said I'm going to go and play cars.

Here's the info if you would like to get involved.

A Card for Home launches Canada's newest way to show support for our troops by asking Canadians to craft a simple greeting card for troops to send home to their family to commemorate many missed occasions.  Anticipating 50 000 cards by end December 2007, the wives are looking for 49 947 more cards to pour in.
